Betsy Coppola received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Clinical Social Work from the University of South Florida. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker in New York State and a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern in the State of Florida. Additionally, Betsy is certified as a Master Accelerated Resolution Therapist and Advanced & Basic ART Trainer.
Betsy found her true passion for helping individuals overcome posttraumatic stress and other symptoms of trauma after a life-threatening accident in 2010 and an extensive two-year recovery. Operating from collaborative and strengths-based perspectives, she is committed to helping her clients make meaningful changes in their lives using ART, positive psychology, mindfulness, meditation, visualization and other holistic therapies.
Betsy currently works in private practice at Southern Tier Counseling Center in Elmira, NY as an ART therapist. Previously, she worked at Warrior Wellness Program in Holiday, Florida as an Accelerated Resolution Therapist and the program coordinator where she served veterans and their families experiencing Post-traumatic Stress and other symptoms of trauma. Betsy also has 23 years of experience working with at-risk children and families in a New York public school system.
Betsy is dedicated and passionate about introducing and sharing ART with as many clients and other mental health professionals as possible. It is her belief this modality helps countless individuals and has the ability to change the face of trauma altogether.
