Carrie received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin Stout and returned to UW-Stout to obtain her Master’s Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling.
Special interest: in treating the whole person, believing that both good physical and mental health practices promote the best outcome for each person. Carrie has experience helping individuals with a variety of health conditions that may impact mood including, but not limited to, trauma, neurological disorders, neurocognitive disorders, diabetes, respiratory issues and pain. Carrie also has experience treating anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders and caregiver fatigue.
Clinical Approach: Person Centered, Solution Focused practice using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Distress Tolerance, Acceptance Strategies, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
