Meagan is passionate about working with children as well as individuals who have experienced trauma and outside of her university education, has pursued further education in therapeutic approaches specific to trauma processing. Meagan believes in approaching counselling from a collaborative, person-centered, strength-based, trauma-informed lens.
Meagan enjoys practicing from multiple modalities including ART, CBT, DBT, EMDR, expressive arts, mindfulness and play. Meagan enjoys utilizing the expressive arts in her work with children as it can be a means of non-verbal expression, exploration and emotional processing and provides a way of communicating things that are difficult to verbalize.
Meagan is a Registered Provisional Psychologist and Registered Nurse (RN). She has a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Health Science with a minor in child studies.
