I have 30+ years of experience in the mental health field. This includes community mental health as therapist and emergency therapist, as well as a clinical evaluator for the prison system in Kansas. I have also worked in the foster care system, family, preservation system, a partial hospital, and now an insurance company. I learned about accelerated resolution therapy in 2013 when I was working in the prison system as I wanted to help Veterans who were being sent to prison due to trauma reactions, substance addictions and suicidality. I got trained in 2016 in basic, then in advanced in 2018 and moved on to become a trainer in 2019, as my license did not allow me to work in a veterans facility to help Veterans address issues that could keep them out of prison and keep them alive/not suicidal. I turned my mission to train other therapist to utilize.ART for all people to heal quickly and effectively. I believe everyone deserves to have relief from stress trauma, any other mental health symptoms, and that ART is the therapeutic modality that can make that happen.
