Amy Forsell, LCSW

Milltown, NJ

Amy earned her MSW from Rutgers University in 1999 and spent ten years working with individuals and families experiencing homelessness, eventually advancing to Regional Director. She later returned to direct clinical work, practicing for five years in community mental health before establishing her private practice in 2006.

Amy provides strengths-based, relational therapy grounded in an IFS-informed and polyvagal approach. She completed Attachment-Focused EMDR training through the Parnell Institute and is trained in Basic and Advanced Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). She became an ART Trainer in July 2025, and her clients consistently describe ART sessions as transformative – helping them release long-held emotional responses and integrate healthier, more adaptive perspectives.

Amy earned her Clinical Social Work Supervision certification in January 2019 and offers supervision and consultation for clinicians seeking to deepen trauma-focused skills and integrate ART with fidelity.
